Default Please help, Hondata people.

Ok, I've got a bit of a situation. About 6 months ago, I bought a 4b off ebay. It worked great, except that last weekend someone busted into my car and stole my stereo and my interface box, and Hondata won't just sell me the interface. Now I have a rev limit at 4k and the CEL is on. If someone could open their interface box and send me some pics so I could try and build one, I'd be greatful. I'd even pay if I had to.

I'm pretty sure that's not going to happen, dude.

Your best bet is chuck the Hondata ROM, and drop a stock ROM back in with your Hondata fuel and ignition maps.

If you're running Hondata boost maps, well, you're sort of SOL.

The strange thing about your situation is, when others have had "problems" with thier Hondata boxes, Hondata has sold them another box, as long as they have provided thier name address and serial number. I wonder when they, apparently, stopped, doing that.

Yeah, it sucks. Hondata says I have to buy a new 4bd setup ($1100). Like I can pull $1100 out of my ***. I hate theives. I'm gonna start shooting.

You would actually try to build one yourself?

Good luck. I hate thieves too. Next time, please shoot them so we all have a couple less thieves to deal with.

It really sucks that if I try to replace what I already paid for I'm considered a pirate. I understand Hondatas stance on selling interfaces, but right now it's not helping me.

I've had a stance for some time where people talking about killing someone else over a car is short sighted and immature; some of us have had less than noble teenage years - I raised more hell than George Strait and did more drugs than your average streetcorner crack----- - but we grow up and get with the program. Everybody deserves a chance to grow up, a car is not worth a life.

However... ALL I hear about anymore is people breaking into or stealing cars. Worthless bloodsuckers feeding off of other's hopes and dreams. I still don't think you should kill anybody, but you have to do something to forcibly rehabilitate these ********.

If you ever catch somebody doing this ----... please, duct tape them immobile, stick them in your trunk, and drop by my house. I'd be curious how many hours/days/weeks of solid demented mental and physical torture it would take to convince somebody they would LOVE to work a 40hr/week job and buy things at the store.
