hey guys my buddy got a mini me vtec and a buddy gave him his auto ecu its a p28 but his car is manuel. Who will chip it to work for a manuel and how much would you pay for this to be done any info will work some local shop said thed chip it for 150 and that just sounded wayyyyy to much to me so i thot id ask good ol hmt...

no matter if you know how to do it or not, some people just can not solder for ----! you should see some of the ecu's that i've gotten from people. i have a couple p06's that were chipped, converted to vtec, converted to manual, etc., everything was done properly and in the right places, but the pcb's are literally ruined from unexperienced soldering/desoldering. i think even if you understand and know where the components go, but have the slightest doubt in your soldering skills, send it to someone to have it chipped, in the long run after you buy the components and soldering equipment (more than likely if you can't solder, you don't have this stuff laying around), you're not much money by doing it yourself, and you risk the possibility of damaging your ecu beyond repair.
