Default OK what fuel mgt. Do I use?

Im running D16A6 IhI-Rhb5 off an xt. I have rising rate fmu, 340cc injectors, Ebay fpr to set my base fuel pressure.
(@ 20psi or so) Bosch bov, Check valve for my map, 6" JRC fmic and its running 8psi all the way to redline. But I keep getting told that I need a basemap but I have no Idea what that is. I can twist a wrench all day long. But when It comes to computer talk, im totaly lost. Sorry if this is a rookie mistake. Im tring to do this on a tight budget. Im Just outside of Seattle. If anyone would like to give me any advice on this it would be great.

You already have fuel management (sort of) in the form your rising rate fmu, and injectors. This is a very crude way of getting it done, but it works for low boost.
A basemap is a starting point for a customized fuel map using one of the many tuning programs. Usually these just get the car running good enough to tune to your liking.

You can chip the PM6 ecu you have and run Turboedit. Go and read here. www.pgmfi.org
