ok i read alot of this on honda-tech (itb setup)

i just got my itb's here and i was searching on honda-tech about tuning them. and they were saying that you ca run itb's with a afc hack. some of the guys on there said they've een doing it for a while. and all they do is lean it out and it works fine as long as all the sensors are hookd up right. what u guys think?

Sure it will run but I still think it will be a bitch to tune and it probably won't run as good as it should on the AFC. Idealy tuning using Alpha N type maps would be most efficient and probably yeild much better results. Look into running Crome for your setup.

I think the lynch pin w/ ITB setups, is how well you can adjust the TPS, and how well/stable its mounted.
Ive used CROME w/ itb tools twice. The first time went butter smooth with a very clean driving car.
The 2nd time, the homemade ITB's had some serious TPS issues, and ended up not getting it drivable.

Also, if you wanna go super gangster, run your TPS signal into the ECU's map pin, and just edit the tables accordingly. (you have to use Uber or CROME w/ boost maps due to the voltage range of the TPS)
Josh Ross and I did that once, and it turned out suprisingly well.

Ive also done ITB's with just a MAP sensor on a vacuum log, and the car idled good, and was easy to tune WOT, but anything in between was dicey. The car ran fine, but was very difficult to get a clean fuel map part throttle.

CROME ITB-Tools FTW.

i have the map hooked to the vacuum manifold now...it idles good...just not the best driving and it burns way to much fuel. i don't know how to use crome and dont have everything i need. and i dunno when J. D. can tune it. i know P1 said they could neptune it for 550. but i don't want to do that if j.d. can tune it.
