Its for a nokia 3285. The one I showed earlier didnt have the part in the middle of the wire (guessing a circuit board or something inside it).

So will it work?

Yes there is a circuit board inside that mid piece. It should work for you, but until you cut it open and find out what wires/how many wires you've got in there, you won't know for sure. Try going to the Uberdata site and posting up the part number to see if anyone can give you the pinouts of the exact cable you have. then you can start to wire it up.

 

I have cut the end of it. I posted in the dataloggins section but that board is pretty inactive. I have a friend going to wire it up for me, so I have to find out how to wire it so I can ship it to him.

The inside wires contain:

blue
red
white
black
and the foil shield

 

You need to determine what wires are Tx, Rx, and ground

Just out of curiosity, what is the part No. on that cable anyway? I may be able to find the TX, RX, and ground wires for you.

That is the place I got it from. It is not a nokia brand cable but is compatible for them.
