Default Offcial "How-to" - Setting up TurboEdit Basemaps

http://www.-------------/te/basemap.htm

Ok, no more asking others to setup basemaps for you...no more whining because you don't know what to do.

Follow this how-to step by step and use the tools that I gathered with it and you should be golden.

If you make a basemap...post it, for other lazyasses to use :P

Comments, questions, critiques welcome.

If you find an error in my write-up, please let me know so I can change it.

If your technique varies a little, post what you do so others can learn.

Jason, maybe this should go in the FAQ for posterity?

i have a question...b. Difficult Way (but probably safer and more accurate IMO)

i. Open the stock ROM in TE

ii. Open the stable ROM in TE at the same time, you will now have two copies of TE running

iii. Now look at the column headings along the top of the maps, they are a little bit different. We need to account for this. Download my ‘Basemap Helper’ Excel Sheet below.

iv. Copy and paste in the stock MAPS in the designated areas of the Excel ------sheet. The tables should do the calculation work for you.

v. Type in the column headings that you see in TE into the Excel ------sheet on the bottom map. These will populate themselves.

vi. Copy that calculated map and paste it into TE.

vii. You can do this for both FUEL and IGNITION maps (2 separate steps

part vi,copy into the stabe or stock.it just says into t.e.?

The stable....because the column headings are different.

I will update so there is no further confusion.

Thank You,Thank You

Now it makes sense. I have been playing around with the program and now I am sure I should be able to do this. I can fab up manifolds and weld down pipes but I am NOT a computer guy, but after following your step by step instructions I think I can handle this.

If I ever get my Civic to run the way it should I have a long list of people that want stuff. When you have a welder you tend to have alot of "buddys".
