OBD1 > OBD2
Hey guys, im finding myself in a strange situation. I want to buy a 1998 integra, but the integra has an OBD1 engine in it. Normally this wouldnt be a huge deal, but massachusetts is really ---- about OBD2 inspection. you MUST have a fully functioning OBD2 port (if the car is 96+) or you cannot pass inspection.
I need to know if there is any way to get this car to run as OBD2 again? assuming the OBD2 harness is still in the car, can i just get an OBD2 ECU and be done with it? what do i have to do to get the COM port working? if it has an OBD1 Harness, what are my options? thanks guys |
Re: OBD1 > OBD2
you will have to change the oil pump and intake manifold to get the needed sensors to make the obd 2 ecu happy.
