obd0 - obd1 ???s speed sensor

Default obd0 - obd1 ???s speed sensor

if i do this conversion & use a p28 will the ecu detect speed so that i can use launch control my car is an 88 hatch currently using a pr4

If you are using your cable D trans you will need to change the speed sensor. Its mechanical in OBD0's and electrical in the rest.

so how does obd0(turbo edit) read speed for launch control

from what i know there is an output from the back of the guage cluster that goes to the ECU

OBD0 to OBD1 conversion will not effect your VSS.

OBD0 = Tranny cable -> Dash Sensor -> Cluster -> ECU
OBD1 = Tranny Sensor -> Cliuster -> ECU

Either way, signal will still end up being at the ECU.

And TurboEDIT uses a VSS based fuel cut RPM rev limit to make launch control possible.
