Default Noob need help with MEGASQUIRT on SEQUENTIAL

Had just purchase a Megasquirt for my ride but unfortunately I just found out that it does not run on sequential firing system. Can anyone share a light on how I can tackle this problem?

Its not really a big deal. Sequential is more useful for economy and emmissions than anything.

What is your setup? Gonna need to know details before anyone can offer much help.

Can you set it up to use a wasted spark system?

You can set it up for wasted spark, but it's not necessary.

Like they said, sequential vs. batch or semi-sequential isn't really a big deal. If you think about it, an injector at 80% duty cycle is open 80% of the time anyway, while the valve is open like 25% of the time.

Very true but I think i would be expecting a problem with my GEARBOX as my auto mechanic mention something about TPS on my auto gearbox as well as the crank sensor problem. Can anyone clearify what does TPS and how the crank come into the picture?

The computer needs to know where the engine is in order to properly execute injector timing and, if you are running a distributor-less coil on plug ignition, it also controls the ignition timing. That is where the CPS (crank/cam position sensor) comes into play. I assume that since you are having problems with your auto trans, that your engine management uses a crank position sensor that rides on the flywheel, thus, you don't have one since you are auto.

What engine/trans are you working on?

What CAR is this going on? DETAILS of your setup.

ALso if you are this lost, then installing the MS yourself is probably NOT a good idea. You need to spend A LOT more time reading the MS manuals. I'm not trying to be a dick, but if you don't have this kind of basic knowledge of your engine and the basics or batch vs sequential, TPS, CPs works then you are going to have some SERIOUS issues with installing this thing and getting it running properly.
