Re:No need for BTM ?????
Hang out with domestic guys. They sell old electronics, BTMs, etc, for pennies compared to the import guys.

Re:No need for BTM ?????
Do you think 10psi of boost on a B16A1 requires the use of a BTM?
And BTW,how do you fit a BTM and more important for me:how does it work??? ??? |
Re:No need for BTM ?????
You take the two wires on the coil wire them to the two wires going into the MSD Box and there should be another two wires I think red and black and wire them where you old coil wire used to be and drill a hole in the side of the cap so the old wires can come out and the new ones in.... basicly re-routing the positive and negitive wires so the MSD controls the spark not the car. Then just hook a vacuum line up that sees boost to the MSD port on the side of the box. Now when the boxs sees boost it retards it per what you set the nob at ( i.e. .5 per pund of boost ). Basicly I believe thats it.... There's a article about how-to wire it up in the FAQ post in one of the other forums just look for it. I just don't like the fact that you have to drill into the cap.
