Default Newbie Question

I think mine is a basic question. I own a HONDA CITY 1.5 L 4 cylinder, 16 valve car having engine code B15B9. I fixed a Garrett turbo on it recently. My problem is that i did not use any extra electronics so the car runs good only till around 4 PSi of boost. Cant get any good electronics to let the ECU know When boosting, so i thought I could use a MSD Boost Timing Master( say the PN-5462 or PN 8762 in combination with a MSD 6200 Ignition). I have detonation now if I increase the boost to above 4 psi. Will this MSD Boost timing Master help me. Is there anything else I need to do. I will be happy to run at 7 or 8 PSi boost max. Would be really obliged with your help guys.

what are you using for your fuel set up? if you just put on the turbo with no fuel management than you are going to blow your motor. You should read the FAQ on fuel. https://www.homemadeturbo.com/forum/...threadid=14497 Read this and you should be set.

I vote for a rising rate fuel pressure riser for you. that with the boost timing retard device should do just fine.

Yea An FMU is good if he is on a budget. and the FMU is only good for round 6psi. if he wants to run 8psi, I would suggest you use the AFC Hack, get bigger injectors, and a V-afc or a s-afc.

Thnaks guys for your comments. Actually my problem is availability of anything. I am from India and here there is absolutely nothing when it comes to performance. For ur info i think there are only 2 or 3 boosted Honda cars in this whole country.

Ok guys so next point, anything I need I have to get from US and there is absolutely no after service for anything after i get it fixed. So the AFC etc way seems a little bit over my brains and so I thought I'll go the FMU way.
Plan to buy the Vortech Super Fuel Management Unit ( VOR-6X100-001) and the MSD 6BTM. Hope my choice is right guys. Waiting for your guys approval. AND OFCOURSE WILL BE HAPPY TO RUN AT 6 to 8PS.
Any comments would be really appreciated guys. THANKS

Yes I have already got the check valves ready. Done the ordering and am waiting for the arrival. Guess it will take around 10 days to reach. Will definitely let you guys know how it feels after getting it all set. Will need some help from you guys for the set up too.
