lmfao chris I meant.. my bad. Was talking about the moates at the time and got the names mixed up.

i did something like that this weekend because i hated to have to keep taking that kick panel off to get to the ecu. but i am using the serial cable. i ran the serial cable from the ecu to behind the glove box, cut out a spot for it and secured it in with the screws. now if i need to hook up to it all i do is open the glove box and plug in my 4 foot cable.

where did you get the 'phone' serial to usb cable?

You just go purchase the D-sub connectors at radioshack or wherever you want and just match the pins up on each.

I did that set-up on MNCRXSi's ECU, works really well. I got the idea back in the day from Projekteg using the serial cables with the maxx32. Nice write-up though.

not really sure what you mean. im talking about the actual datalogging cable that he has. the serial to usb cable but i see it has sometype of converter in the middle. i know where to get the rs232 connector just not the cable

The cables are just USB data cables. The phone end is cut off and replaced with the purchased connector.
