New Tuner Laptop died
Well the laptop I just bought for running my Zeitronix, Willem, etc... already died on me.
The other night it froze solid as if it overheated. It felt kinda warm so I shut it off and left it alone for a while.
Since then I have not been able to power it back on.
What it does:
Hit power button, light for power comes on, numlock comes on, scroll lock comes on.
Seconds later the laptop just shuts back off.
Not on long enough for their to be any video activity
What I've tried:
Tried power up with just batteries, same result
Tried power up with just AC power, same result
Tried power up with both AC and battery, same result
Reseated RAM, same result
Some of the Dell MMC2 style laptops had an issue with the CPU jarring loose, so I popped it open to try to reseat that, same result.
I have a friend sending me another CPU to try, but I am pretty sure its the motherboard. Your thoughts?

Re: New Tuner Laptop died
This is serious.
Have you tried dropping it from a foot off then ground.
Really, it sounds like a short or fried component.
It didn't get moisture in it some how did it ? Leave it in the car over night ?
Take a hair dryer if ya have one and heat it up.
I am out of Ideas after that.
I really do know it's no joke if your stuff breaks.
I didn't mean to **** you off
