i would rather have a hand pump and manually pump more gas into my engine according to my boost gauge :P...no not really, but the FMU's in general just suck ***. For the price you're gonna pay for an FMU, you might as well just chip your ECU

I'll sell you one cheap that I have but I'm not saying it's the best way to fuel management.

LMAO, it has nothing to do with your compression ratio. Most people use a 12:1 FMu which means it raises the fuel pressure 12psi for every 1psi of boost. This forces more fuel past the injectors since the fuel pressure is 100+psi above what it should be. You will still need check valves or a missing link with the FMU. If you only want to run like 6psi or less it might not be that bad of an idea.

Is 6psi even considered "running boost"?

Probably not considering with a free flowing header and a cold air intake it would make about the same power.....unless you drive a Cavalier where you can make 50whp and 75ft.lbs at only 3psi.

You would get the cool bov noise though.

Hehe.. My 1g DSM BOV at 10psi sounded like a dying cow..

I could only imagine what it would sound like at 6.

mine sounds like somebody clubbing a baby seal at 6 psi... but I'm poor so that's what I'm running.

btw I got a fmu fs in the classifieds.
