i tried it both ways...it'll give me itermittent/inconsistent operation. it likes com 7 in crome...that may be the case in my situation.

how do you know what com it likes if it doesnt go to com 6? i got the red and green light to go on and i get a signal in uberdata and ---- with j12 connected. i open up uberdata go to gsr open and import p28 since my ecu is a p28 and im runnig a d series. i set it to com 1 and tried a million 1200-210000 speed rates in device manager. i get a signal to my laptop but i was just trieing to datalog the rpm but it does not go higher when i rev the engine sometimes it will jump to like the top of the graph when i rev it to 3000rpm. Any ideas?
