I have several people now asking me this and that and wanting to turbo there cars since i have startde working at VAtozone.

The guy i work with has a 1st gen talon and from what i have seen it has a 4G63 in it. The question is can it be turboed by using parts from a TSi, GsT Etc. If so i know that the manifold and turbo along with all the other charge pipes will fit but what about fuel management? is it just plug and play with the sourcing of a ECu from a turbo eclipse or talon? any modification needed to the harness? i want to do it ritgh the 1st time but just wanted to get some feedback from any of you who have either done this or know of this.

the ecu should be plug and play, but you'll obviously have to use the 450's and more than likely the maf sensor also from the donor car. i'm pretty sure the n/a 4g's have higher comp., so i wouldn't expect it to run perfect without some tuning.

 

if its a 4g63(dohc) and not the 1.8l everything will fit mani turbo downpipe intercooler pipes ecu fuel rail injectors everything you will have to turn down the boost thow since its a na motor it cant handle the presure if the bottom end is good in the turbo one u can just use that your head your trani with a nice clutch and flywheel and it will almost be a gst good luck and its done alot check out dsmtuners.com for alot of info on how to also vfaq.com shows u step by step good luck

 

I don't think 1g dsm bovs from the turbos work on the non-turbos... so... send me it!

Lucky you, because he didn't send me the one I paid for in June and refuses to respond to emails from Paypal and myself.

 

I thought the na talon engines are completely different than the boosted engines. It probably won't be very plug and play at all. It will definintly require some fine tuning.
