hi guys
was wondering which MSD ignition box i need for my car? it is a 1.6 D series honda running at 6 PSI, also what price should i be paying second hand? anything else i have to consider?

I'm running the MSD SCI, and I've very happy with it. When I put it on the car, I was amazed how much it smoothed out the idle. As far as top end, it helps out a lot, truthfully. My ignition isn't breaking up near as much. We'll just have to see how she does under boost.

Oh yeah, I picked it up preowned but never used for $100 (my buddy bought it for his 240sx, then dropped an sr20 in it the next week).

If you don't plan on running any kind of management, I'd suggest getting the MSD 6 with the BTM built in. Just my $.02

 

ah thanks mate, so can i have an SAFC hack and MSD BTM running side by side? This is probably what i'll do, only 6PSI to start off

 

how much am i looking to pay for a BTM ignition system? second hand?

 

is this MSD ignition only worth getting if your boosting over a certain amount?
