Im sure you dont care, and I could be wrong. But here's my exp. w/ aftermarket ignition box's.

I installed a Crane HI6 w/ thier super duper bad *** coil. Every thing was fine, or so it seemed. A few months ago I was upping my boost to 18psi, and ended up having to run a .024ish gap to keep the fire lit w/o having ignition misfires. Any boost past 18psi, it would break up pretty bad regardless of gap.
I ended up taking the whole system out, and returning it to stock. I then upped the boost to 20psi. The end result was supprising, I have no ignition misfires w/ more gap. I think a healthy maintained OEM ignition is the way to go.
Also of note, is when I am timing my car at idle, the ignition no longler jumps around a few degree's like it did w/ the HI6.

Good luck w/ it.
