Re: moates burner question

I don't know why this might make the chip register as blank, but are starting the burn at the correct offset address?

http://www.moates.net/documentation....entation_id=20

Homdas use a 32k file.

are your hex numbers like those?

Anubis_4_99 07-28-2006 03:30 AM

Re: moates burner question

nope, these are mine

32k (32768) 27SF512 008000 -> 00FFFF

000000 -> 007FFF

Oscar 07-28-2006 03:47 AM

Re: moates burner question

when i click on the 27SF.. chip option, the codes change to this.
CHIP ADDRESSING
000000 -> 00FFFF

BUFFER ADDRESSING
000000 -> 007FFF

try changing them, that could be it.

Anubis_4_99 07-28-2006 01:29 PM

Re: moates burner question

mine wont even use those numbers... it changes them automaticly when i try to input them

Re: moates burner question

The ROM might be faulty.

Re: moates burner question

if you mean the burner then i dont think so... if your talking about the map then deffinitly not, i've tried over a dozen diffrent maps, downloaded ones and ones from my own computer

first time dealing with a chip burner so im a little illiterate :1

i guess i'll see if its the chips in a couple days

Referring to the actual chip that you are trying to burn a map onto.

Re: moates burner question

tried that as well, didnt change anything... talked to craig from moates (he actualy called me) and he said it's unusual for the chips to go bad like that but told me to give the ones i ordered a try and if they dont work he'd see what he can do for me

Re: moates burner question

A problem I had sounds sorta similar to yours. It said it succeded, but everything was all fucked up, solid cel, etc. This was using the flash & burn program that came on the moates cd that somebody sent me w/the burner when I bought it. I went online and I found a different version of flash & burn, downloaded it, ran it, and it worked. Give it a try. Good luck.
