Re:moates burn1
there was a walkthrough on the site with regards to port speeds, and other sync issues. are you using xp?
I'll try to find the link http://www.moates.net/documentation....entation_id=15 |

Re:moates burn1
if you have a usb2.0 port, try using a usb1.1 port, or 1.0 whatever it is
just switch up the usb ports, see if it helps. also, what does the programming memory range show? make sure it's 000000 to 007FFF |
Re:moates burn1
don't forget to make sure that your in usb ports COM1-4
i tried mine in COM5, and it didn't work |
Re:moates burn1
the range is 007fff and its on com 4. dam this!

Re:moates burn1
it's telling you the chip is not blank, right? erase it, then burn it. I bought the moates because the willem was a piece of ----, I haven't had problems with the moates.

Re:moates burn1
Alcohol? Why would that have anything to do with the Moates not working for me? Or are you talking about you? ???

Re:moates burn1
check the documentation and maybe you will have better luck. http://www.moates.net/documentation....entation_id=16
I could not get the burner to erase or program and found that the reason for that was i had the chip in the wrong position on the moates burner... But works now! |
Re:moates burn1
nobody could get my piece of ---- willem working, not even the doctor.

it wont let me erase :-[ |
Re:moates burn1
I got this error a time or two, check the chip itself if there are any bent prongs you will also get this error. You can run a test to see if the chip is blank and that would work for me but when I went to erase the chip I would get that error, so I check the prongs and made sure that all prongs made contact with the burner if that makes since.

i had a similar problem with mine after having it about a month it decided to take a sh#t. craig was very cool about it...i offered to buy a new one and return the old one for a credit and he didn't give me any hassles at all. even after being a lazy a## and taking a month to send the old one back he did exactly what he said he'd do. big tumbup for craig...btw the new one works great too.
