Those gay *** vacuum dashpots dangling off the IM can develop leaks. Your most likely problem is a hose, or the FITV. If it is the FITV (fast idle thermo-valve), you can disassemble it and either 1) clean out the coking keeping the valve from shutting or 2) re-screw the valve back down as it's come loose. Personally, I prefer 3) block the sumbitch off with a piece of cardboard and some RTV silicone. Who needs a 3000 rpm cold idle, anyway?

Yup, this is your most likely culprit:

Hope I don't get banned for that picture... IMO, FITV's are gay ****.

There are no more questions to ask, hippie. You have a vacuum leak, most probably internal to the FITV, but otherwise easily diagnosed.

FYI, Mister I Have Three Builds Going On At The Same Time $$$ Baller, a 200-250 mW wireless PCMCIA card/400 mW PCI card costs $70 shipped, and misc antennas + cables will cost you another $100 for decent quality stuff. I can hit four to nine APs in my house, depending on whether I'm in the basement or upstairs... there is no reason for not having internet access wherever you go!
