Looking at a SMC 500
Hey guys my turbo project is almost complete, here is what I have so far for 93 civic DX:
IHI RB5 turbo
HF manifold
adapter plate
FMIC from Custom Coach (group buy, shipping out Tuesday)
450cc Blue tops
probe BOV (for now)
What I'm looking at now is an SMC 500 because of it's price. I've been doing some research on it and it seems to operate the same as Apexi S-afc except it has no display, is that correct? As it has no display would I have to tune it using a Air/Fuel gauge? I'm just looking for some help on this from somebody with experience running or installing the SMC500 on their Honda. As my project nears completion I just want to thank everyone on this site for all the info, this site kicks ***!

Re:Looking at a SMC 500
I've got a SMC500 too.
Last week I installed it with out having my turbo or 450cc's on yet. So I put all the settings at zero.
Installing it was easy, "tuning" it was easy but took time, oh well. Once you get the settings that work for you, you won't be touching it again and it's better than having a flashy display that will attract the thieves.

Hey phresh_5 what are you driving? So your install went smooth, how were the instructions with the kit? Are the instructions vehicle specific? I'm going to order mine next week so I'll probably be hittin ya up for some more info on the install if I need any help.
Thanks
