Light show guage tuning
Well I can't sleep and I thought of this question while trying to fall asleep,
I'm hopefully going to install the final parts next week, but I'm curious as how to tune. I'm running TE2 and all I have to go by now is the air/fuel guage. i know it's ---- but until I can get a wideband I need to know how rich I should go. How rich should I run it, all the way so the last rich light is lit, or somewhere inbetween. What is the aproximate range for the air/fuel guage, 15-13? it's the automter if that makes any difference.

In boost, you want your a/fs in the 12s, which means beyond the limits of the autometer guage, or your stock o2 sensor. I"m not sure, but when a/f start to go beyond the limit of the guage it shuts off, this graph shows you the limits of your narrow band o2 sensor
it maxs out at about 14.2:1, so it's useless for tunning while in boost.
I know a EGT guage can help you with tuning, they can be had for relitively cheap.

Re:Light show guage tuning
I have both the NB 'light show' and my WB hooked up.
That exactly what it shows. About 14-14.2 is when the NB pegs on the last green.

Re:Light show guage tuning
either buy a wide band, borrow one, or go to a dyno, with skill and understand you could tune by just fucming around with it and with a EGT, but don't waste your time, sell your virginity if you have to.

Re:Light show guage tuning
no offense but if you are asking the question about whether you should tune with a narrowband, i think your best bet would be, sell the narrowband to a ricer, try blackdelsol and spend the money on rolling road tuning

Re:Light show guage tuning
I see where this is going, I am just asking for ball park tuning now, I plan on getting a wideband in a month or so, this is just to make sure I'm straight for the time being, I guess I'll just take someone elses maps and richen them up a bit.
