Default Knock Detection Devices

What's all out there? I got a few fellas that are all gonna chip in to get a knock detection setup for tuning and just wondering if i've seen everything that is out there...

right now its looking like the Link Knock Block (found a review on it on Turbo magazine site) and its only $625 for the whole thing with dual knock sensors and headphone capabilities, also is adjustable for sensitivity...

i know about the viatrack setup, not quite what im looking for. anyone seen anything that is good for around that price range? the other stuff i've seen has been like a grand or higher..

Herd Gizzmo KMon is the best on the market with dual knock sensors and a good software.

that one seems pretty nice, im having a hard time finding major differences between the two units, both seem to be well liked by the people that have tested with them and neither has been directly compared to the other... im only seeing a few minor differences between the two just reading the tech pages on them.

the price is close enough to go either way, im just wondering if the few extra features of the gizzmo is worth $100, given i would probably never use them..

better to have them and not need them instead of need them and not have them. i dont know to much about the other systems you posted but im looking into that Viatrack that you posted never herd of it but its simple and looks like i could plug it into ECtune, Hondata. Crome, Etc. but i dont see an output on it to send it to an ecu?

link doesnt work...

i've seen the det cans though, looking for something with logging capabilities as i tune several race cars and its very difficult to simulate the race situations on the street. So not being able to be physically in the car to tune and listen makes something like that not very worth while...

How to make and install a Det Can
well aparently the hard core tuners say you can trust electronic sensors, be cause of the frequency of the knock in different engines. it could be knockin like crazy and some sensors wont recognize it.
so they say, it would make it a hell of alot easier.
