just some more MPFI conversion wiring problems
ok so im doing an MPFI conversion on my 89 dx..... i put my dx obd1 converted y7 motor in it and am now doing the wiring.... my problems are.... if i want to use my obd1 injectors, do i just eliminate the resistor box and run the wires straight from the ECU to the injectors and use the power wires from the original two injectos to power them, am i right? or no
my next problem is..... when im wiring up the crank angle sensor...... it says to wire two wires from my ecu to..... ( i cant remember the exact colors right now) but something like, blue with green stripe, and some other one.... well anyways, on my dizzy, the only two wires that the DX harness doesnt match up with are black and blue, solid color wires... or am i wrong and the wiring is inside the dizzy? someone please help me out....... i got the obd1 conversion harness and did all that, im just having trouble wiring this ---- up...
basically i want to run obd1 injectors and im wondering if i still have to wire in the resistor box..... or is that only for obd0 injectors..... and where the ---- are the wires for the crank angle sensor and why doesnt my dizzy have them.........

Re: just some more MPFI conversion wiring problems
sounds like you just jumped in WAY over your head, get teh car running OBD0 first so if you have any problems they are easier to track, once it runs correctly then change to OBD
i say start over

Re: just some more MPFI conversion wiring problems
When wiring in the injectors, whether you need a resistor box has to do on whether the injectors are saturated or peak and hold. If using saturated OBD1 injectors, no resistor box is needed.
As far as your crank angle wiring, if you wired up all 7 distributor wires and matched like colors like the directions that came with the conversion harness stated, you should be golden.
I'm not quite sure how that would affect an MPFI conversion in there as well as I have never done one though.
There are a few OBD0 / OBD1 pinouts in the Hybrid/Tech section under OBD Conversion that might help you sort it out. Also get a copy of the Helms and wiring manuals for your car.
