just converted to obd1 and now having problams ???
 

ok heres what i have ,

88 civic dx converted to mpfi converted to obd1, im running a po6 and a single cam distro (0bd1)on my b18b. ok when i start the car i get a cell its for my o2 (41) it seems to ideal fine but when i drove the car it stutters and has no power at all its like it runs really lean or something. can it because of the po6 ??any help will b great thanks.-adam-

i have no 02 hooked up at the moment. that wouldnt cause it to run like that, we unpuged my freinds o2 on his 92 hatch and didnt run like mine.

Dude, come on now. Are you asking why your car is running like ---- and why you're getting a CEL for an o2 when you don't even have one hooked up? :-\

Fit the o2, get rid of that code and then go from there, might help, might not, bet there is more codes.

chceck your distributor wiring...there are 2 wires that look almost the same that always seem to throw people off that would be the first thing i'd check..and allso...did you say you do have a 4-wire o2 sensor?

distro is wired perfect i checked it like 10 times theres only one wire thats diffrent on the obd0 and obd1 distro. and i dont have a 4 wire o2 or a one wire o2 hooked up at the moment.

problam fixed i was runnig hella lean :P cleared it up with the vafc.

You were probably running lean because you don't have an o2 sensor. It's not exactly fixed yet. Unless you're running a chipped ECU with the o2 sensor disabled you need an o2 sensor.

Well...I would have to say that you are using an unchipped (?) PO6 ECU ( a p06 is for a single cam non-vtec engine 1.6L) on a LS motor...yeah, that would make you run lean and no it would have nothing to do with the O2 code.

Try using an OBD1 PR4 or P75 ECU on your LS, should run peachy creamy.

Geeezz... WTF?

He's getting a code 41 because of the goddamn O2 sensor people. 4 wire O2 is self heated, unlike the single wire from OBD0.

The ECU checks for this heating element, if it's not there, the car will throw 41. Sometimes I've seen them run like ass, sometimes I haven't... but two correct answers are given here.

A P06 will _not_ run an LS, lets think... uh, more displacement more fuel?
And code 41 is Primary O2 heater. You can fix this without chipping the ECU... use a 10w 20ohm resistor on int he circuit and call it a night...

Yes I did, I did.. I told him how to get rid of his code without chipping his ECU so he can use a 1 wire O2 sensor. :P

all problams have been fixed im running 310's with the vafc hack to richen it up and im now running a 4 wire o2, i knew y it was throwing code 41 ::) it was just thrown in there so no body will say "well what codes r u thorwing check that first".but anyways its fine now untill i get my new fuel manegment. :-* (in 2 weeks).

Tell me if this sounds stupid:

Hey guys, my car won't start. I turn the key on and i get nothing. It doesn't make any noises and no lights turn on in the dash. The headlights won't even come on. I don't have a battery in the car right now, but that wouldn't cause this because I've seen my friends cars run without a battery. What could it be?
