ok so ever since i did my swap last sept ive been using someone elses ecu to run my car. looking for people here to chip a p28 for me blah bah blah. so now i have a jdm p72 and i gotta give the usdm p72 back to the guy i borrowed it from. but i took it apart today(both of them) and i was looking at the jdm one and it doesnt look like it can be chipped. but it looks like it has everything else to run the car but in different spots. can anyone help put with this?

if it looks like that and has the little spot in the corner that is empty and looks like a chip should go there, then it can be chipped. there were certain jdm auto p72's that can't be chipped and are more or less like obd2 ecu's, but if yours looks like that, it can be chipped. drop me a pm if you want to get it chipped, i have all the surface mount components to chip jdm ecu's (they require different parts than regular usdm ecu's).

i didnt feel like starting a new thread so ill tell ya here. so i go this ecu i got it in the mail on my lunch break the other day plaged it in and drove back to work. next morning 730am it a lil chillyi got to start it a blub blub blub blub..... try i again blub blub blub blub..... but doesnt stay on. so i still have the other kids in my car. i hook that up and it works. so later im gotta go to work but didnt take my car so then i get home from work and i try it and it starts rigtht up with the jdm one. drivin all day yesterday on it and then this morning i go to work at 850 lil chilly but not as cold as the other day @ 730. so the same thing happens blub blub blub blub, hook up the other one and boom starts right up. get to work bout two mi away open my store switch back to the jdm and again starts right up. i dont get this. could cold have some effect on it. (the ecu was ice b4 i got to work and warmed up some after i got here) if anyone has any idea let me know cuz this really sucks i need an ecu and i got this one that only works sometimes.
