The longest jump in ice racing was about 20 feet. The car broke a steering shaft and went straight off a 4 foot snow bank. The first time the tire hit back down was about 20 feet or so from the banking.

The most rolls was about 25, tube framed car that just came apart during the roll, the driver walked away.

I'm deciding weather or not to spend the time on studding some tires, I really want to ice race my integra, the ice races are bad ***! Some of you guys must have some huge ***** because you are crazy mother *******, 70 mph on a 3/4 mile track packed with 8 or 9 other cars, just crazy fun to watch.

 

Buy tires of some of the fast guys. I don't know what club races out there, all rules are very different, then most clubs. We require full cages, and some other saftey stuff, I think it's because we averaging 70 mph, so about 120 would be our top speed. But this winter check a race or two out then try and get some tires. The tires that we are required to run are 190 a peice plus shipping. Well I have in the past bought a whole set for 200 bucks. They last forever!!! But to run out front you need to spend the money.
