ignition ?
The last month or so ive been messing with crome gold it sucks. But ectune wont work on my comp anyway. The only way i get a steady idle is to take the ign values which the car reads from at idle turn them down from 16.50 to like 13.50 or 14 will this screw my map up at all or is it ok to do this. My fuel pressure for some reason is also at 50 psi with stock regulator since i installed a walbro 255. I tried the B&M regulator but that wont turn it down either. IN my dataloggs the injector pulse is irratic like 1.30ms the jumps to 2.12 the back to like 1.40 but with lower timming it holds steady.

Re: ignition ?
Remove the B&M garbage. Get a B-series FPR, this is going to be real easy, the exit is visibly larger than your current one.
Your idle problem is 99% likely coolant level/coolant hose/TB related and not Crome's fault. eCtune on a 500 Mhz P3 with 128Mb RAM got me on TV, why can't you run it? |
Re: ignition ?
Crome Gold works fine.

Re: ignition ?
You ever read one of my rants about using Vista to tune?
Dual boot your ---- if you have to have Vista, and don't use Vista for tuning. |
Re: ignition ?
how exactly do i do this dual boot id like to get xp again
|
Re: ignition ?
Crome golds base timing is differant then crome pro.Their both at 16* but if you imoprt one from the other thing are off, Use a timing light to synch the distributor and you will be fine. From personal experiance crome pro timing maps don't import into gold very well. A timing light will tell you what you need to know.

Re: ignition ?
yea i hope my base timing is off and thats whats the cause for the stumbe ill post up a vid whan i get a chance from the scratch

Re: ignition ?
Quit buying bullshit and buy something real.
All reputable manufacturers of real laptops still support XP, and release drivers for them, unlike the lowrent slingers of $400 Vista Bricks. |
Re: ignition ?
I only have experience with Dell, and I know their commercial machines still have XP options but I'm hearing even those will likely be gone once the next generation of machines come out.
In the end, doesn't really matter since I don't need half of the processing power that's available now in order to tune a car. |
Re: ignition ?
my laptop is acer aspire 5570-2067 hopefully i can get some type of downgrade. Im Gunna ask those geek squad people this weekend

Re: ignition ?
T30's on ebay for $200 all day long. When your street tuning a cut springs piece of ---- POWER NIPPLE FTW.
|
Re: ignition ?
Yeah, I love teh nipple.
I didn't realize T30's were as low as they are. I'm def. gonna pick one up after X-mas to replace the slow one I have now. |
Re: ignition ?
my toshiba on vista is always gay on crome it always says cannot connect to ecu :1 but ive learned how to deal with it just re open crome or switch to a diffrent port
plus on the old ass previous DELL with XP it did that all the time and even worse i had to mess with the conection setting like baud rate and ---- to get it working |
