Default Ice race car turbo questions

Hey, I've built an ice racer('88 civic dx with mpfi swap, si trans and flywheel, pg7 ecu, 6 point cage...)and raced it for the last 2 seasons, and am going to boost it for this season. I have an hf manifold, a couple of tb0335's(dodge turbos) and access to all of the tools and equipement I need. However I have a couple of questions that I haven't found the answer to. My biggest question is management: the car see's long periods of wot, and quite often banging off the rev limiter to pull through a corner. I'm not interested in chipping my ecu because I don't want to hook up to my computer. I'm getting some 450cc's will a vafc work on my car without vtec? This one? http://saskatoon.kijiji.ca/c-cars-ve...QAdIdZ30541255 I am quite interested in a smc, but I think I read that they don't like wot. I don't quite understand what a vafc does on a turbo car, does it tell the ecu to dump in less fuel with the 450cc's?
Or should I just use a fmu? 12:1? 10:1? I don't want to have fuel system problems after towing 8 hours to go to a race.
Any help or advise you guys have would be great. Thanks.

Hard use like that doesn't seem like a recipe for an afc hack or fmu. Why so hesitant to tune with your computer?

Would a chipped ecu need to be tuned? I have no problem putting a chip in, but i don't want to hook my car up to a computer all the time to make adjustments.

As long as you dont keep putting new mods on, you will only have to tune it once.

basemaps are junk. if he dosent have a way to tune it he is just as bad with a base map as he is with a vafc

Since your at WOT most of the time it would be really easy to tune. Build yourself a $100 wideband, a chipped ecu, and borrow a laptop.

having a consistant tune with a chipped ecu will fetch you more hp for you dollar. even with minor mods there is hidden hp with a up to date tune. also since your ice racing as well, weather will play a big factor when it comes to your tune. slight mods being able to be made in an instant via laptop my seem pointless, but in fact its a big determinate.

then you will need a ostrich or something along that line to tune while he drives.......

i hate when people say "chipped your ecu its cheaper and easier" when in all reality it aint. is it better for performance yes, but its not the cheapest nor the easiest way
