Default i measured my o2 voltage today with an lcd multi-meter

i saw in zeitronix. http://www.zeitronix.com/Products/O2Meter/O2Meter.htm
this product measures the voltage on a regular o2 sensor(not wideband). anyways i measured mine and it worked out ok. anybody here ever measured their o2 voltage?
heres the conversion voltage:
AIR/FUEL RATIO
GAUGE READING
14.7/1 air/fuel ratio 0.50 volts
14.6/1 0.60
14.5/1 0.70
14.2/1 0.80
13.5/1 0.85
13.2/1 0.90
13.0/1 0.92
12.5/1 0.94
12.0/1 0.95
my o2 read .94v=12.5/1 a/f ratio from 3krpm to 5800rpm in 4th gear, and .92=13.0/1 a/f ratio from 5800rpm to 7800rpm.
it was leaner than 13.0/1 in higher gears at .88 when i started, didn't take much to make it richer. i'm bringing the a/f ratio up from 5800rpm-7800rpm 13.0/1 now to 12.5/1 tommorow. i quite trying to tune it cause it started raining and i was on the highway, there was some traffic too. i'm gonna finish tommorow morning. tunning w/vafc. anybody here have any experience tunning w/o2 sensor voltage and are those the real a/f ratio to voltage that the scale above says?

unless you have a wideband to referance with i wouldnt trust a narrowband o2 for ----...

Your readings are false, or inaccurate, or wrong.. however you want to say it.

Narrowband O2 (single wire/4 wire) sensors only measure 14.2:1-15.2:1. Voltages are also from .05-.95, with 14.7:1 being .50v (this information is not only from personal experience, but also Bosch). THe voltage curve is non-linear, as also documented by Bosch, and the Tech2Tech manuals.

So I'm not sure if there are just mistakes in your calculating, or your car is just running stangely, but.. whatever.

14.7 is .5volts in the scale up there. i mentioned in the post i got this info from zeitronics. .5=14.7 and the higher the voltage=the richer the a/f ratio. i just tried it cause it's cheap as hell to try out. and it must work cause zeitronics says it works and they're voltage display meter is sold out, they sell like crack. i'm gonna take it to the dyno soon after i tune it, just to confirm it.

No matter what you do, it's still a narrowband reading. You're trying to say this narrowband sensor which doesn't even have the capability of reading these figures accurately is actually defying it's own ability and doing the job of a different sensor. That's like me telling you I can defy gravity and fly.

You can measure 14.2:1-15.2:1, but in a F/I application that does no good, unless you want to melt some pistons.

I just read the link.. if you look closely it says the o2 voltage is .3 - .7 volts in CLOSED loop, which would indicate 14.2- 15.2 afr's. but during WOT the ecu ingore the voltage and uses the maps, but the o2 is still spittin voltage out. u are just seeing how much.

It looks like the "general knowledge" of the narrow band refers to when the ecu is in closed loop mode.

this might be a good way to hmt check your afr's.

It still only reads 14.2-15.2 so that wouldn't be any good. I don't know many people who tune between that range at WOT for F/I.

14.2-15.2 is what the ecu reads during closed loop (idle, part throttle, cruising).

during WOT the o2 sensor still outputs voltage but the ecu ignores it.

show me the write up that some1 did to test the o2.

stock o2 sensor provides a non-linear 0-1 volt output, wideband uses a linear 0-5 volt signal. it would be nice if you could just plug in a voltmeter to your stock o2, don't you think everyone would do it
