Hey everybody, i just chipped a romless PG7 out of a 1988 integra. I followed the diagrams and schematics from the gurus at PGMFI. Anyway I noticed that in the schematic made by a guy there called Doc, doesn't show the Vcc +5 voltage hooked up to the EPROM (pin 2, or the Octal latch, (74HC373, pin 20). Now those chips need a Vcc of +5 volts to operate so i'm guessing they should be hooked up??
Maby he just left it out of the schematic because its just self explanitory (and i'm just stupid)?? Someone please clarify whether i should hook these pins them up or not.

I will post pics once i'm done the data logging.

Well i finally figured out the wiring, couldn't open up some of that guys postscript files, so i converted them to adobe. Anyway, i just have to wait for my batronix programmer that i ordered to burn the chip. I would have replaced the 40 pin MCU with the 8051 but i don't think my progammer that i ordered will program them...i only relized that after i placed the order. The only programmer i have heard of that does the MCU is the Needhams' 20. Any suggestions of a programmer that will do it?

 

The adapter looks good, turboef9, but i'm not really sure if that would work with a batronix programmer??
