Default huge problem

Alright so i was dumb when i was wiring my smc500 and wired it on the FIRST plug.. plug A.. which was p32 (this is on a odb2 car with a p2t ecu) so in my ventures to start the car over and over again the dome light just went dim and the battery slowly started to die. So now anyway since I realized the mistake fixed the wiring the battery is still dying. (running a vafc now) So to figure out whats going on i find that the fuse "Alternator SP Sensor" 7.5 fuese blew.. so i replaced it droveit and well it blew again. The car's alternator does run, with a new fuse in it if i pull the postive lead off the battery the car dies. It just wont recharge/run the car I am sooooo screwed and sooo stuck. Should i get the alternator tested to see if it works?

use a multi-meter and check the alternator for bad continuity(OHMS) , and check the alternator for ac volts
by hooking the postive lead of the multi-meter to the positive side of the alternator, and ground the other side, if the multi-meter reads 350, or below on the ac volts the alternator is bad,,,,,
