Default how much boost can i run with s-afc

like the title says.....how much boost can i run with the s-afc? I have a 85 toyota celica...with a 22re in it.

according to others on this board..nothing over 8 psi is recommended without some type of ignition retard device.

I lack any real knowledge on MAF equipped vehicles, and certainly not Toyotas. I know you can see some boost, but what your MAF can handle and what your best manner of addressing ignition retard is I cannot say.

ive had my civic hatch up to 12psi with 91octane and the distributor fully retarded. haha that sounds funny.but you loose some low end power.rightnow im at 8psi with the distrubutor about half of its rotating range.

yah i dunno....i know an 82-85 supra air flow meter box does fit on my celica with some minor mods....but i do not know how much boost it can handle without the check engine light coming on.
stock 22re has forged crankshaft and forged rods. I am getting forged pistons as well.

if anyone else has some suggestions, it would be greatly appreciated
