I know the manifold is suppose to be tapped but i dont have a good welder and i dont wanna ---- my mani up but anyway as the title says how important is it to have this gauge on a street tuned car. and what sould the ideal temps be after the turbo.

its just another monitoring device...it wont do anything unless you are watching it...which isnt a bad thing.

if you can add it go for it...

I would ask you how much life do you want to get out of your turbo? How much boost are you pushing? I am boosted at 7.5 cause my evolution wg 9psi spring is weak, i have no temp gauge, i live in San Antonio texas and have no problems. IF you are boosting over10 and you are tuning yourself i would invest in EGT system. Continual EGTs passed 1500 degrees fahrenheit is dangerous
