Re: Hooking up LC-1 WB. Cleanest way?
Yeah your probably right about the cig lighter. How was your ground though it could have been weak.
And another thing,He could be using the cig lighter for a charger or something. Just run a line from the battery. |

Chassis Ground and an accesory wire from the radio or better yet, straight from the fuse box.

I'm not gonna tie it to the cig lighter b/c that line is noisy as hell. I don't wanna screw my LC-1 with the noise or possibly induce more noise on that line. I've gotta look at the diagram again but I think the fuse box has an accessory line that I can connect to(5th gen did), I'll just use an inline fuse with that. |

i hooked mine up to the ecu's power and ground. via an extension harness, which is obd 1 on both sides....if you you a regular jumper harness then you can not use it in diffrent obd level cars, only thoes that your jumper harness matches.

Re: Hooking up LC-1 WB. Cleanest way?
I am thinking, if we uses bullet connectors?? tap a piece of the wire to the ECU harness so that way the LC-1 can be removeable.... Although I still have to do more thinking on this matter... think it is feasible?
