HELP ME WITH MY FUEL MANAGEMENT
FELLOW BOOSTING BUDDIES
im finally getting my kit together i have most of it but i need youre help if i get the vortech fmu for fuel will i need to change injectors or should i do both put bigger injectors and a fmu im only looking to boost 7 lbs on my d16y8 crx if any one can answer my questions please let me know.. im just begining on boost ive been on the juice 2 long

An FMU and your stock injectors will work, but I wouldn't go any higher than 7 psi. If you want to boost higher get bigger injectors and you will need something to control them like the afc hack. Keep reading the forums and that should answer most of your questions.

CAN YOU TELL ME DO THE DSM INJECTORS NEED ANY MODIFICATIONS OR ARE THEY JUST PLUG AND PLAY AND ARE ALL THE VORTECH FMU THE SAME I NEED TO KNOW ASAP CAUSE I GOT MY KIT BUT I NEED A FEW MORE STUFF LIKE THE FMU A WASTEGATE AND THE FRONT MOUNT PIPING TO FINISH IT ALL SO ANY HELP IS APPRECIATED SO I CAN GET MY KIT ON AND WHOOP ON CARS WITH TWICE MY MOTOR

if you go with the DSM 450's, then you do not need an FMU. It's an either or thing. I would trust larger injector to an FMU anyday of the week. Granted it's more expensive, but you could run 8psi daily driven if you would go the hacking route. Some say that you could even boost higher with an MSD boost timing master.

Apexi V-afc ebay for under 300
MSD boost timing master 150
D.I.Y. manual boost ctlr look in the forums

THANKS MAN IT REALLY HELPS I WANNA ASK THOUGH IS DO THE TOP OF THE DSM INJECTORS PLUG RIGTH UP TO THE FACTORY HONDA WIRING HARNESSES I HAVE A 89 CRX SI WITH THE D16Y8 MOTOR AND I WANT INJECTORS AND A FMU HOW MUCH ARE BRAND NEW INJECTORS AND FROM WHAT YEAR ECLIPSE/TALON/LASOR SHOULD I GET THEM FROM

If you are going to bosst 8psi why not just do the hack. The only thing wrong with the fmu is if you get boost happy and deside to go higher like 9 psi or 10 psi on stock injectors you have a good chance of breaking your pistons. Ive done it twice. Thats why i switched to the hack.
