help choosing honda ecu for project turbo bmw
my friend has a 72 bmw 2002 and he's hoping to turbo it's 2.0L SOHC engine. He wants to use a honda ecu as a sort of cheap stand alone. He'll adapt a honda distributor to fit the bmw engine. What he needs to know is what ecu to get (if it matters).
Thanks for any help

I would say a PM6... it's the most simplistic with the most features.
You probably dont want to go OBD1 due in part to all of the sensor checks that would have to be faked, or removed. OBD0 is very easy to kill sensors in. Plus, you have any features you'll need.

Re: help choosing honda ecu for project turbo bmw
i have always thought about doing this to my 92 Jetta i know you would need:
dizzy, ecu, coolant temp, IAT, O2, TPS, and MAP sensor
but what about the main relay and fueling, how would that work?

You'll have to machine the stock cam to fit the dizzy.
main relay well..you can just split it in two relays that are commonly used....the main relay is just 2 relays in one.
A friend of mine made a schematic to use 2 seperate relays instead of the the honda main relay.
The rest doesn't seem to be a problem. it will just have to take some work and a little creativity.
