it could also be the speedo may want to check on the fliud in there and also are you running 98 octane cause vtak wont work with out that

cutting the red wire will troubleshoot if the solenoid is bad but your car will be in vtec all the time.

more than likely it sounds like you have a worn muffler belt and thats why the flux capacitor isnt engaging v-TECH

You can pick up replacement V-takk fuses at Napa or Autozone, they are right next to cases of compression. You might want to top off on that too just in case.

you check that the wire going to the transmission area has spark? detach it and hold one end, make sure you ground yourself to the car or negative battery terminal, have a friend try to crank it, you should feel a small tingle...this means the vtec activation switch works
