Default H22 breaking up after 4800 rpms

JDM h22 a swap in 1996 accord. Swap idles good now, and runs ok till 4800 and then stars breaking up. the afr's stay consistant, just dosnt like to go up past 4800. We messed with the Vtec engaugement and dissabled it, and it still runs the same.

Problems i know of are the VSS is missing, which i think the problem is, so im waiting on the guy to put that in his car, but iff its not what else could it be.
It is turbo put on a new dizzy, plugs are gapped properly. we are trying to tune it, so its not like its just a bad tune.

Any CELs? VTEC looks for VSS by default.

Have an oil pressure gauge? You could be falling out of VTEC due to lack of pressure, but the ECU wouldn't know so it doesn't throw any codes.

I threw a wideband sensor away last week that wouldn't read correctly past the 13s... No matter how much fuel was thrown at it, to the point the car was rich misfiring, it would read flat 12s with an occasional high 11.

Keep at it, get more info.

Yea i thought vtec looked for vss, so im pretty sure thats the issue,

I do have a oil preesure gauge, so ill check that as well if the vss dosent fix it...

because basemap is a basemap, it's not the factory map/settings. how do you know its the right map?

I throw away any basemap that comes with a car I tune. I don't even look at it. Waste of my time.

Make your own basemap FTMFW

I had an issue with the ground wires that attach to the thermostat housing before cause some breakup ---- as well... Just blew a headgasket this past week, weird, would idle fine cold, and hot after youd been on it, but then vacuum would drop and it would run partialy on four, like the #4 cyl was about 25%.

Ended up after a leakdown, you could hear my radiator hissing with the cap open (radiator was almost empty.... no overflow though, none in the pan. Rings seem to be fine, compression is good, but HG is donezo. ------- gay

Seems #4 is the only one... not sure what happened. It got warm but never hot...

ANyways if you hit it it sounded shitty too... check your radiator fluid.
