id compensate for the margin of error the wideband can produce also. 12.3 if not 12.2 would be as far as i'd go..

14.7:1 is where you want to be tuned.

Pressure, elevation, temp, and other variables play a part to deviate you from that ratio. You use the manipulation of fuel and ignition tables to obtain 14.7:1 at your elevation, at your pressure, and at your average temp. Dyno tuning with a wideband, and datalogging will help you to see where you need to alter your fuel and ignition settings to obtain the maximum amount of power, and the proper, and safe, ratio of 14.7:1.

Not to say you are wrong, but 14.7:1? That seems kinda on the lean side to me. I wouldn't want to run the risk at that ratio. :-\

I assumed we were talking FI air/fuel here.

EF9, whatA/F did you tune your monster-D to on the dyno?

It is my understanding that 14.7 is for low load/max. effeciency cruising only; at least thats what the ECU shoots for in closed loop.
