what cars came with this sensor? i have been told a few different ones. i have the map froma 87 buick grand national. is that the right one? thanks Brian

 

 

Im almost a 100% that GN's are 2bar stock.

Typhoons/Syclones are 3bars as well as the 86? Turbo T/A

 

Turbo T/A was 3 bar.

Turdbo Sunturds and the Sy/Ty stuffs are 2 bar.

I really don't know what the GNs were... from lack of mention when discussing MAP sensors, I'd almost imply they were MAF? Someone spank me if I'm wrong.

 

gn is MAF system all 3.8 turbo cars were.

sy/ty turbo sunbird are 2 bar
3.1L v6 turbo grand prix is also a 2bar.

chrysler turbos were a bizzare like 2.25 bar its wierd.

2.25 bar absolute sounds like just about the perfect resolution for me...

 

no graphs but ill see if i can dig up the chrysler tranfer function. its so close to the gm 2 bar that i use it to buy a bit of extra overhead.

 

I've got voltage vs. load graphs for the GM 2BAR and 3BAR MAP sensors...I'll mail 'em to ya Dave, and you can put them up on PGMFI.
