Re: gas milage.... need help !
my shortest trip is 10 - 15 min , but sometimes i drive for half hour..
i dont think am driving like a ricer ( though i dont know what a ricer mean ), but i dont let my rpm go over 5000, i drive fast just once in a while, other times i just drive regular...
ill get the high flow intake filter, and i use 4+ platnum, is it bad ?
is iridum better ? and my car is 95 camry coupe 2.2
i hope i dont have a big problem with my engine...

Weird that is bad. My FIances brother had a 95 Camry 4dr with the v6, I f I go anywhere far I want it to be in that car. AWSOME Milage. When I was 16yrs I drove a 4dr 4banger Camry (96 I think) and it wasn't like that! Go to a Toyota Deaership and bitch to high heavens!

Re: gas milage.... need help !
in the colder weather my mileage also takes a dive, dont waste money on a new o2 sensor if your old one isnt bad, (if it is you'l get a CEL) theyre expensive. you shouldnt even need to rev it up to 5k before shifting that would hurt ur mileage. oh yeah a 2 dr 5 sp camry?! sweet never seen one i'll bet with a hmt u could get that thing to really haul some ***.

Re: gas milage.... need help !
ok guyz,.. thanx for your replies..
but how do i know that my O2 sensor is bad ?? and there is only one sensor on the manifold ( on the exhaust ) , right ??
i dont get a CEL at all ...
but i took the IAT sensor out and put it outside the box,.. it gave some power... a lil bit i think... but the weird thing is, this week my car did 300 miles per tank, BUT i still have gas in it.... i think it will go 320 miles ... thats surprising !! is it because its spring time now and the weather isnot cold like before ??...
and yeah, its fun to drive.... thanx...
i would love to turbo it...., would anyone tell me, or send me a detailed diagram on how to install a turbo ?? ....
i know it sounds stupid, but i know a mechanic would help me...

Re: gas milage.... need help !
that "chip" that you installed was it on your air intake temp sensor, if so it probaly was telling your car that the air was super cold, then the ecu think that the air was more dense would compensate by injecting more fuel possibly explaining the shitty gas milage and loss in power

Re: gas milage.... need help !
it gave me shitty milage before i put the chip,... after the chip, i dont know about the milage coz i didnt put for long time, i realized the loss in power so i took it off..
but it kept giving me shitty milage...
only this week, it gave 320 miles per full tank, and i still have lil gas in the tank...
thats whats surprising....
