Default Fried ECU

Well I got bored and decided to chip a old p06 that I had laying around and had some money left over in my paypal account so I was like "I wonder what those ebay chips are like?" So I picked up a 15 solder iron from radioshack and some solder wick and solder and went to town. Now I have previous experience on soldering and doing rework on circuit boards from a previous electronic job. Ok to make a long story short, I installed the ecu and fired it up and no CEL! Woah kick ***, but woah cool your horses cowboy. The usual sign of a bad ecu being that it won't rev past 4k. Now could the ebay chip be bad or if I pull out the "turbo lx mugen chip" will it go bad to the factory settings or what? Man, what a waste of a $13 chip and a perfectly good ecu. Pffh I tell yah... Mugen turbo lx chip! LOL

Snip J1 to return to stock, whether the chip is there or not.

Won't go past 4K in any gear? When my ecu was in limp mode, it wouldn't rev past 3k. I'm just wondering if they stole one of the pgmfi roms with launch control.
