Say I'm between 15.5-16.5 afr at idle, and i would like to make it about 14.5-15.0, is there a formula I can use to find the percent I should add in for the values on my map in crome? Or do you just guess and screw around with it for awhile until the afr's are good? I'm a newb to tuning and would like some pointers on how to get a decent afr.

Its in the mid 15-16 range in most of vacuum and high 12/low 13's in boost, I know this is lean and would like to know the percent to add to my fuel tables.

If you know of any good read's could you post up links please, i've read through xenocrons, and another one on uberdata, but this is all still a little confusing to me. Any help is appreciated thank you.

 

14.5/15.5-1=6.5% you would have to remove.

 

8.6% change= 1 AFR point change.

I guess that's the formula i'm looking for, damn its gonna take a long time to tune this bitch. there has to be an easier way to do it without crome pro, I'm using crome and ecu control.

 

you dont even need to datalog to tune.

do it by feel, lol. its not too hard. just watch your afr's and rpms and how much throttle you're at, and adjust it by that.

 

Get a damn Ostrich. Setup Crome to run in real time, then have a buddy drive the car while you look at the wideband. Make small changes often and you can have a pretty solid tune in about an hour.

 

They sound nice but way too much $$$$, it was hard enough for me to cough up $300 for a wideband.
