Crome should have some support files for the drivers where TABCTL32.OCX is having problems pulling up. Its been a while but they are usb drivers I believe. For instance if you were to search for "freelog" on sourceforge you will come up with the free data logging tool. You will see support files there. There is a whole list of stuff to throw in your /windows/something) folder.

This is the source of your error imo

im going to reinstall TE.
put the TABCTL32.OCX file in your C:\WINDOWS\system32 folder...or in the same folder as the TE exe file...its for the graphing stuff.

currently TE cant read from the ostrich...it can only write to it.

try the EmUtility application to read from the ostrich...(i havent tried this yet, so im not sure if it works or not)

well that worked on the TE.

but guess what.

i fucked myself. somewhere along the line of ------- with this ostrich i deleted my bin that was on it.

and it was the only copy.

so whoopie. i have to start all over again.

ok, now i made a new basemap,

went to TE 3.17

open map

open rtp

recognizes the ostrich, then tries to synch and appears to freeze at that point.

no more progress, then when i try to get out of rtp it says only availible if port is open and shuts all of TE down.
