ok, ive had this ostrich working before.

now i changed my laptop to dual-boot xp and ubuntu.

and now i cant get my ------- ostrich to work.

ostrich has my current map on it.

it recognized, COM port 4

using TE 2.5.2

baud rate 38400

set for romulator as there is no ostrich option.

i know that 2.6 wont recognize the ostrich 2

but im not sure why 2.5.2 wont recognize it.

and i ------- hate this ----.

i downloaded tunerpro and cant figure that ---- out to even check it.

Download the old ostrich drivers from moates.net and install them on your new lappy.

i have the drivers installed from moates. (my comp recognizes the hardware in device manager)

but link me anyways if you can.

Dont trip. I have had the same problems before. Easy solution is to buy a few different laptops until it finally works.

well maybe if this ---- goes down on the 5th you can bring a couple laptops to try.

if you are using the 2.0 ostrich you need the new te with the 92000 bruad rate. http://forum.pgmfi.org/viewtopic.php?f=60&t=15233 you need to log into pgmfi to see the downloads.

still dosent work even with the drivers that were linked and with the new TE 3.17.

just to clarify.

once i apply the settings for the ostrich in TE.

i go to tools. and i cant click the RTP because its not highlighted.

settings are for ostrich. COM 4. and 92000 baud rate.

All I do is open the bin im using. Go to options in tools. Set my com and yes 92000 and click ostrich. Then click tools again and hit rtp says something like searching for ostrich done ready to edit map in real time. But you have to keep that rtp screen open do not close it or rtp will not work just click on your fuel map and start editing. Worked for me.

Try a different port ;D Are you sure to take the good one? Check in Device manager under Ports (COM and LPT) for serial to usb.
