lol, it's cool, i remember it took me a while to get data logging working, but once i did, it was worth it, i was so happy i just drove around all night with my lap top on the pass. floor board

I just have no idea where to start I read what you said about settin up the com port but where i data log do I go the is no "advance" tab whe I open mine I got no clue

'advanced' is on your port settings on your computer, that's where you can change what com port it is and disable the buffers, set it to com port 1 and disable the buffers, then go under the 'data logging' tab in uber data and select the sensors you want to data log, then select 'com port 1' in uber data, cross your fingers and wait a second and hopefully you'll be data logging

I understand now thanx but I have no idea where to go on the comp to find the port setings I am runnin windows xp thats about all I know I bought this thing just for data logging so it;s all pretty knew to me

windows start menu -> settings -> control panel -> performance and maintenance -> system -> hardware (tab on 'system properties) -> device manager -> uneversal serial bus controllers

okay there is no performance and maintenance on the control panel. I get to the hadware I belive but the devices it's there do I got a fucked up version or what

Then you should learn to read.. it isn't too hard to figure out really. Just look around on the datalogging section. It tells you exactly how to do it.


If you have XP, all you need to is go to your device manager and see what com port your datalogging cable is on, and make sure you installed the correct driver for the devices. After that, start up uber, load the map. Then go to the datalogging tab and click the com port you want. If everything is set up correctly it should start working as soon as you select the com port.
