a few questions on tuning nitrous?
well, i'm picking up a little nx incognito nitrous kit this afternoon and gonna mess with it this weekend. basically all it consists of is a 1.5 lb bottle, a solenoid, and a jet, that's it. most nitrous kits have fuel solenoids to add more fuel per nitrous, and all you really have to do is pull some timing, well this doesn't add any fuel, just supplies the nitrous, so i'm gonna have to tune the fuel and timing within the paramters that i set for nitrous to engage. the fact that i have 0 expereince with nitrous makes this a little more difficult. i don't even really know that basics about tuning nitrous. so if you have any pointers such as how much extra fuel to add (keep in mind the system itself will not be adding any fuel at all), how much timing to pull, what's the best rpm to activate, what rpm to disengage, etc., etc. btw, i'll just be running a 50 shot.

Re: a few questions on tuning nitrous?
This on a turbo or NA? I think that the reason to use nitrous on a turbo setup is to make your spool time less and on an NA setup you want to be spraying when your peak torque is occuring.
As far as guidelines on how much fuel to add and how much timing to pull, I dont have any experience either. Maybe try posting this question on Boosted-Hybrid's forums and see what he suggests...

Re: a few questions on tuning nitrous?
it's n/a right now, but the main reason i got it was for the new turbo that will be going on i 2-3 weeks, but i just want to throw it on now and mess with it. yeah, when i get the turbo on, i'm gonna have nitrous engage at wot, then disengage at about 5psi, just to get the snail moving. i'm mainly just wondering about how much extra fuel nitrous likes and how much timing to pull. i guess i'll just hook the wideband up and see what she does, the only problem there is that it's such a small bottle, it only has about 7 shots in it, so i won't have too many times to experiment before the bottles empty, so i'd like to get a good idea on a starting point to maybe eliminate some wasted shots, or i guess i'll just have to find a road to tune on that's near one of the shops that fill's nitrous :P lol, i'll be going in like every 15 minutes getting the bottle filled
