A/F gauge not working
Just installed my air/fuel gauge, and it wont display reading. I taped into the green/black wire on harness which goes to the white wire on 02 sensor...
Im not sure if tapping the harness instead of the sensor wire would cause it to not work, or am i on the wrong circuit all together??? |
Re: A/F gauge not working
MMMM, could be because it's useless Narrowband, In actual fact you lucky it doesn't work, because all the blinking light mean nothing so it is VERY annoying!!!

Re: A/F gauge not working
Well it is useless but My friend and I had the same problem with his car I believe he just tapped in the wires coming off of the O2 sensor maybe you should try that i believe

D14 on a P28. Check all your wires.

Re: A/F gauge not working
Its not digital, it is a needle, so i wont have "all the blinking light" to annoy me. (i have seen the digital ones and they are annoying.) But anyway I only want to run it to make sure i am not running dead lean. I wanna at least make sure its fluctuating, and not pinned to the floor. o well, mabye it was a waste, but i still wanna get it working...
Thank you 95redex for the help... I will try to tap it there at the ecu. |
Re: A/F gauge not working
just splice into the o2 sensor. You have to be driving the car to show a reading, or else it will just show a ruch reading and the gauge will not change.

Re: A/F gauge not working
i sent it back today... they said if mine is broke, It'll be the first in that series. :-\ so i dunno... I found that it is the White wire on the sensor. I checked someone elses car, and I tested mine on their car.. (didn't work still), but theirs worked on my car.

did you drive with the gauge with the engine warm? It must be warmed to read acurately
